All I remember about Kerry’s service is that he met with the communists that the USA was fighting while still in the reserves. Is that false?

Not only did he meet with them, he coordinated his anti-war propaganda efforts with them in order to achieve the greatest political impact for the North Vietnamese. There is only one word to describe it - treason.

So any jack@$$ reporter that tries to use the term “swift-boating” to mean improperly accused or smeared should be reminded of the uncontested fact that Kerry met with a foreign entity with which the US was at war, while a member of the Navy.
