I can’t relate to the context.

Is it because the cops don’t equate witchcraft to religion, or is it because the complaint of child abuse has been lodged by a minister? Or is it because the abuse is being inflicted by Muslims (or some other non-Judeo-Christian belief)?

Some Nigerian children killed by family members because the victims were believed to be demon possessed, or some such. It seems to be two isolated cases.
