The Chick-fil-A same-sex marriage debate doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. Ever since President Dan Cathy stated his stance on gay marriage last month, the fast-food chain has been under scrutiny.
Now, some University of Maryland students and staff are working to get the restaurant off their campus.
They’re using online petitioning via change.org to persuade Adele H. Stamp Student Union officials to remove the restaurant, reports campus newspaper The Diamondback,

I’m sure CFA’s lawyers are preparing appropriately, including motions for costs and lawyers’ fees. This isn’t even a close call: obvious attack through government, based on the victim’s religious and political views.
Under scrutiny? That implies some sort authority on the part of the scrutinizer. No, they’ve been under attack by the intolerant, left wing, self-appointed thought police.

I bet they wouldn’t lift a finger to get a Muslim-owned business off of the campus. If they think that the owner of Chick-fil-A is tough on gays, they should see was Islam has to say about them.

Of course it’s preposterous, there is no reason whatsoever for them to be “under scrutiny”; they have nothing to hide. It makes it sound as though they have board of health violations or something - that’s what it usually means when a restaurant is under scrutiny. Silly.
Isn’t it time to disband some of the more troublesome Universities?

Good point - and that’s been true for decades. I recall reading once - cannot recall what book it was in - that a conservative student sat alone studying while his classmates piled into a bus to go to some leftist-type demonstration. He says he knew right then that what he was doing was important, and that his classmates were off on a fool’s errand.
