Loony tunes. The whole sovereign citizens thing doesn’t make a lot of sense if you give it more than a few seconds thought. They claim they don’t recognize any authority above the sheriff but that apparently doesn’t extend to his deputies.

As they reject the Constitution, they are pretty much anarchists. That is hardly conservative. I wouldn’t have much trouble shooting one of them if threatened. The threaten my way of life as much as OWS and in similar manner.

A few fundamental principles of the so-called "sovereign citizens" are pivotal and worthy. But, like anything else, taken to the extreme and/or corrupted...it becomes a justification to do whatever evil one wants to do. I believe many of these folks don't necessarily abide by or value "common law" (whatever connotation they mean by that) anyway. They use it as an excuse to justify their criminal pursuits.
Perhaps others in this movement apply these principles in more righteous or constructive ways. I don't know.
