It is mentioned in our conservative Lutheran church. We pray for those actively persecuted for the faith, that the Holy Spirit would strengthen them and keep them safe for Heaven.

The way this evil world is going, someday we will need those prayers for us and our children.

When the predominance of churches/denominations do not suffer, the absence of the Holy Spirit within them is obvious.

The lack of suffering is a witness to “lukewarm”.

Likewise.

A lot of it has to do with how well informed the Pastor may be concerning the persecution. Those clergy who depend on the MSM and their denominational press offices are likely to be quite ignorant.
