Those such as Mr. Scott who live their lives creating drama, often want to leave their this life with the same drama.

I cannot nor I shall not pass judgment on him.

That said it well may be a more noble death to jump off a bridge, than to have your fate decided by one Barry’s death panels.

Its “Do not go gentle into that good night” meaning that even thought the hereafter is good one should “rage” or fight against death. It is our duty to fight on. Dylan Thomas’ poem to his father shows much more love than the trendy “Gee I hate that the old guy is suffering so I guess he should just take a big dose of Morphine and...”
