I'm greatly relieved but angry also that during those months many long time members either left or were zotted. Altura was one, a regular on the Sunday Morning thread. Others were coming close to going elsewhere or just not coming back to FR. The vitriol coming their way just too much to understand and drove many, including myself, to question whether to stay here. I was within a breath of pulling my monthly if not departing entirely.

Over the weekend I went and visited some of the daily talk radio threads. The concern that FR was imploding was beyond palatable; it was expressed by members on every thread, sad that it appeared FR was no longer a conservative website but was fast becoming a fringe kook site, especially after the mods were told to ignore non-stop anti-Romney/anti-Mormon vitriol expressed by a small cadre of posters on the 5,100 plus posts on the thread of August 11. Most talked openly (or in PM posts) of what to do and where to go. But all were sad that this once great website was being taken over by a one-issue minority and those that spoke out were vilified or were threatened with banishment.

Today’s announcement is certainly welcomed and it may take some time to fix the damage done, but it must be repaired in order to support the key objective — OUST the MARXIST.

I have no words right now. The damage has been done, will the posts and thread be removed to prevent further help to the Soetoro campaign? Will the bigoted Mormom hating threads and posts be removed? I doubt it. I have to let this digest and decide if I want to be a part of it any longer.

Many of us have been saying this all along and have been ridiculed, harassed, harangued, declared faux conservatives, many zotted. For what reason? Because we 'saw the light' sooner than you?

JR, no conservative WANTS Romney to win. OUR FOCUS, ever since Romney has become the presumptive nominee, has been to do whatever may be necessary to PREVENT the Marxist from being re-elected and destroying what's left of this country. We have also been saying that the possibility exists that conservatives can at least TRY to deal with Romney and the RINO's in January (better to deal with the RINO's in November), but there'll be nothing of the Republic left 'to deal with' if there's another 4 years of the Marxist.
