I got through college via a series of part time jobs.
Good luck with that today...

It's not just illegal immigrants. We take in far too many poor 3rd world immigrants legally via family reunification. These poor legal immigrants plus the illegals take all our grunt jobs and low level entry jobs. The jobs our young people took as their first or second job

Good luck any teen or college student getting a summer job house painting or landscaping. Or working at a MacDonald's any time. Plus once Hispanics take over a niche they will keep out all whites. Good luck if you are a white boy and happen to get a job at a MacDonald' with an Hispanic crew. You ill be driven out so Jose's cousin can get work there

>>The first thing Romney needs to do after being sworn in is round up this bunch of self-identified illegals and deport them.<<

I believe Romney and Ryan could turn this around so that it would backfire on Obama, and they should get started today.

They should cut an ad, in both Spanish and English, warning young Hispanics that the action Obama has taken is just an Executive Order, and that it can be overturned at any time by either Obama or the next President. Therefore Obama has presented them with a terrible choice: They can reveal their existence to the federal government and hope that the government never reverses itself, or they can continue living a life underground.

Romney and Ryan, with Rubio, need to address the very people affected by this Executive Order and explain how they will handle the situation if elected, and why those same illegals (and their friends and relatives) will be more satisfied with the Romney/Ryan/Rubio solution than with the choice that Obama has presented them. A 28 year old who was brought here as a 3 year old, has attended grade school, high school, and college, and is a productive employee here in the U.S. needs to be treated differently than a 28 year old who just crossed the border, for example, or from a 28 year old who’s always having run ins with the law, as another example.

They also need to point out the serious flaws in Obama’s proposal, and get some press for the ICE agents who know what a scam his proposal is turning out to be, but that’s another issue.

Another point for the position ad I suggested: He could also make it clear that his law would offer a path to eventual citizenship, contrary to the future threat of deportment that Obama is offering them. He could also ask why Obama didn’t do exactly that when he had control of both houses of Congress, and instead waited and now offers just a shaky concept of a deferred deportment (emphasis on “deportment.”)

As long as there’s money to be made from importing slave labor from mexico, both political parties and their financiers will do nothing to secure the southern border. The ultimate price will be losing four states (Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California) to mexico. The feds will do nothing to stop it, the state governments are too beholden to their special interests to stop it, and illegals, being illegals in every sense of the word, could care less about the laws anyway, and will overrun anyone who gets in their way. All it would take is to militarize the southern border, and crack down on illegals and their enablers. Unfortunately, I just don’t see that happening, due to the reasons mentioned above.

That is a lot of words and in my scanning of it, the article missed the most important point. If all it takes is being between 16 and 30 years of age, and either being a student of some kind or being in a vocational training program of some sourt, then all of the 911 hijackers would qualify!

GWB was somehow supposed to be to dumb to find those 19 (or 21) individuals in a sea of 300 million people, yet BHO is brilliant for creating a policy that would make it more difficult to find them. Our enemies must be laughing at us.

It only took us 11 short years to forget our citizens who were killed on 9-11-01!
