I hate getting lost. Using the Hancock as a reference point has always helped me to avoid getting lost in Boston, but that might not be at all helpful in other parts of the city. I also haven’t driven into the city alone since the late 80s or early 90s. It’s changed quite a bit since then.

Having worked in Boston 10 years and having my main hospital for more years than I care to admit, I know most of Boston north of Mass Ave. Below that is spotty but I can find brookline from there and Fenway and a bit of rte 9.

If traffic wasn't so insane getting around would be easier. I'm not sure it's really Boston where BI and B&W are. It's over by the Charles south of the BMFA.

You say you haven't been in for a long time. Some neighborhood I used to be familiar with have gone upscale and tree growth makes me feel my age. 39. LOL!
