Its called picking battles we can win, fighting a battle that costs us the war does no unborn person any good.
Not fighting this battle “will” cost us the war. This is already being used to attack any and all Republicans every where.
Do you seriously think in a Federation where half the population supports abortions for any reason, there will be tolerance of the idea of forbidding abortion to rape victims?
We try to fight this battle and we play right into the democrats hands and marginalize ourselfs. Like it or not a lot of women would rather kill their own babies than deal with a pregnancy.
Until we bring that reality to them to face and reject even suggesting that if they are raped that they might be forced to carry their rapers baby is suicide. Yes I understand the moral case, but a majority of the population is NOT even close to there yet!
Akin’s screwed himself and us on this issue, it must be ended and no other republican must ever mention or answer any question to the contrary. If your a Federal republican say abortion is a state issue period.
