It affects all of us because the Democrats have a perfect soundbite to be repeated over and over, causing our GOP candidates to be tarred with Akin’s idiotic comments. YES, that does affect us.

You mean like "I like being able to fire people" and "I'm not concerned about the very poor?" Let's be consistent here. If we're booting out all candidates who gave the Democrats perfect soundbites to use against them, are you also calling for Romney's ouster from the ticket?

Not the same. Both of the comments you gave were taken out of context. Romney was talking about firing insurance companies, and he was talking about focusing on the middle class because the poor have a safety net. There is NO WAY Akin’s comments could be taken out of context. He screwed up.

It’s not a matter of being consistent.

Romney’s got nothing to do with this. Romney may not win in November but we still have a decent chance of winning the Senate. We’ll need a majority in the Senate to offset a second term for Obama.

If you hate Romney, that’s fine. But you’re using him as a foil to excuse commentary uttered by a Senate candidate in Missouri.
