I made it clear in #30 that I was not comparing a DUI to a stupid statement. Rather, the issue was a distraction, whatever that distraction may be, that keeps conservatives from focusing on their agenda. Akin will not be able to get out his message. This statement will haunt him as Obama’s “you didn’t build this.”
It is almost as if people believe Akin is irreplaceable. That no other pro-life Republican could battle McCasKILL.
Thanks for the post Doug. I know you are incredible in your hard work on conservative causes. I was making general statements mostly. We could have another pro-life candidate step in, but why can’t we just say Akin screwed up and move on. Seriously he made an error. No murder, heck not even the n-word. Just a mistake. I think he is redeemable and I really wish everyone else would take it as it is, a mistake.
