He's beyond hope: "just one word in one sentence".

He seems quite oblivious to the fact that it was his "the female body has ways" statement that brought this sh1t-storm down on him.

I've noticed that some of his most vocal supporters on FR seem to have a similar blind spot. Is the "no conception from rape" theory some kind of Creation Science for fundamentalist pro-lifers?

I'm so damned angry with throwbacks like Akin and King right now. You stupid, stupid b*stards.

You aren’t the only one who has noticed.

I don’t know if you would call me a “fundamentalist”
I am a catholic prolifer.
But I’m also female, and have more than a passing knowledge of conception, pregnancy, and birth.

This guy is poison.

As a general principle every candidate should stand ready to be removed if he screws up ~ because we have no shortage of highly qualified, articulate and clean folks to move into place.

The party, in general, seems to recoil from that so we have faux 'winners' who can barely attract 20% of the Republican base and we leave them in place to waste all our time and money because no one has the sense to remove them.

I say kick Akin out, and there are some others I could name that need to be kicked out for the same reason.

In politics the only thing that counts is WINNING.
