I had the same thought. Maybe the silver lining in all of this is that it helps Romney/Ryan distance themselves from future attacks on women’s issues because they immediately repudiated Akin?

And here in Va. George Allen has a tight race and has strong pro-life views...

That takes the heart out of the ‘Repubican war on women’ meme. Everybody can ride this train- and it’s just politics.
