A U.S. appeals court on Tuesday overturned a key Obama administration rule to reduce harmful emissions from coal-burning power plants, sparking a rally in coal company shares and relief among utility firms.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit said in a 2-1 decision that the Environmental Protection Agency had exceeded its mandate with the rule, which was to limit sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions from power plants in 28 mostly Eastern states and Texas.
In the latest setback for the EPA, the court sent the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule back for revision, telling the agency to administer its existing Clean Air Interstate Rule - the Bush-era regulation that it was updating - in the interim. The EPA said it was reviewing the ruling.

Good. The EPA needs to be dismantled - at least severely crippled by de-funding and R.I.F 85% of its employees
They can find work at Government Motors, maybe.
Wow, this ought to take a little sugar out of their tea.
Finally some common sense!
Notice the bias in the headline and the lead sentence. The headline assumes that the rule was to limit “coal pollution” rather than unwarranted EPA interference with the use of coal.
A more even-handed headline would have stated that “A Federal court rules that the EPA had over-stepped its authority”.
This is SOP for the terminally fascist.
But there is another side to the discussion. "What is wrong with that EPA Rule?
"My name is Barrack Hussein Obama, and I approve that question!"
FINALLY, a court that rules for America.

Hooray for multibillion dollar companies pumping out mercury and pollution !!!
Hooray for “jobs!”
Of course all of the coal fired power plants announced for closing will close. Me thinks the earlier EPA edict gave the power companies cover to close plants that were near the end of their productive life. Cannot invest in upkeep and modernization if it cuts into profits you know. Still, it is good to see the EPA slapped around a little.
What mercury and pollution? Ever hear of scrubbers? Or was your rant just pulled out of your underwear?
EPA was after CO2, which is fake as a $3 bill.
>> to reduce harmful emissions from coal-burning power plants
Subtle Leftwing deceit. Here’s how it should be reported:
“to reduce emissions from coal-burning power plants the EPA considers harmful”
obama to sign an EO ignoring the Court in: 5...4...3...2...1
Freezing in the dark is an excellent cure for sanctimony.
Well hell, Should I hang on to my shares of whale oil or not!
Panda oil burns much cleaner - and it has a pine-fresh scent.
