was just reading article put up by local talk show guy (url above) 40% of food is wasted at cost to family of 4 of $2275 per year. That is more than my food budget for a family of 3.
It doesn’t help that we are rapidly consolidating agriculture into a monopoly or an oligolopoly of two or three huge concerns with all others denied entry into the field. That and infertile Monsanto crops becoming the only crops grown is setting up the world for a famine that includes the First World. When there is only one source it takes only a couple of things to go wrong. When there are many sources disasters get dissipated and are not truly disastrous. Monsanto plus Obamunism in America = rapid population reduction.
