I have run into people buying guns for two reasons, first in-case they try to pass more restrictions, and second we can all see a reasonable situation of a second civil war of sorts us against the rest of the word, islamist, Feds, SHTF who knows. Its all part of the survivalist mind set. I see nothing wrong with planning for the worst hoping for the best.
