The Iron range miners are sort of like the West Virginia coal miners. They are the white, middle class men who are gradually moving over to the GOP, or at least against the radical left. In 2010, they were so very upset with their US Representative, that they voted him out of office - Jim Oberstar!!! It was a collossal victory when Chip Cravaak won that election.
Lots of Democrats are not so radical as the party elites. I am wondering if we will begin to see a more rapid abandonment of the Democrat party as they move closer to outright Communism and ridicule of all traditional values.
By-the-way, Freepers should know that outside of the Twin Cities inner cities, and the NE corner of Duluth and the labor unions, Minnesota is a lot like every other state in the country. It goes GOP for the most part. That is why I can sympathize with up-state New Yorkers. Trying to swim up river gets very tiring.
The GOP should secretly encourage the pederast to stay in the race, as the Dems did with Akin, and even produce phony polls as PPP did with Akin. This guy is great for us, especially for Bachmann.
He's probably laying down a trap for Republicans to take up and run with calling Gauthier and others similar situated in legally sanctioned, consensual encounters 'child molesters.'
Then they can roll out the "Republicans are in your bedrooms," are "obsessed with sex" and "hate young people" talking points. Some SoCons would be dumb enough to take the bait.
I don’t think Bachmann will need the help. But it does make for an interesting house race in Duluth with Gauthier now out (but still on the ballot since he can’t be removed).
Right on top of things as always :)
You know how I am! :D
