A Minnesota Democrat who had a rest-stop sexual encounter with a 17-year-old boy says he's still running for re-election.
Democratic Rep. Kerry Gauthier told Northland's NewsCenter in Duluth on Wednesday he will let people in his district decide his political future, "rather than the political power base in St. Paul."

I sure remember that Studds situation. I was in college at the time. Call me naive back then, but I was genuinely aghast that such a homo pervert could actually be in such a lofty position of power in the government. It further blew my mind that his district re-elected him after all that. Probably my first clue that Democrats basically had no moral standards.
