How about what is best for the country. Not who is winning what round.

Wonder if Obamacare will still be standing after this fight?

Some conservatives love to use the attribution games, just like liberals do. Criticizing 0bama? Racist! Criticizing Michelle? Sexist!

Calling Akin to resign? GOP establishment! Or even worse, liberal media! Never mind that 'enemy' of GOP establishments, including Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Allen West, Scott Walker, Tea Party Express, and so on, have called Akin to withdraw. As have prominent conservative media. The ones that want him to stay so far are his opponents, liberal media, and a faction of social conservatives that would prefer the election about abortion in case of rape rather than about the economy.

Akin vs Establishment GOP round 1: Akin

should be Dems and Akin vs Establishment GOP round 1:Dems and Akin

McCaskill did spend 1.5 million on the primary to engineer him to be her opponent. And has made statements he should stay in? The Dems want him rather than another pro lifer in because they know Akin can beat himself.McCaskill’s biggest weapon in this campaign is her opponent’s mouth. McCaskill can just take a vacation until November and pray Akin does not get laryngitis.

It appears that the GOP establishment would rather have McCaskill in the Senate seat rather than allow a principled conservative to have it.

It appears that Scott Brown is seeking the best way out with a run into the arms of the abortionists.

Akin vs anyone with a brain. No wonder the dems wanted him as their opponent! He is the gift that will keep on giving for the dems and the lib media.

The people who regard this as a “establishment vs Akin” battle are at worst guilty of mis-direction. It’s easier to blame the always shadowy (insert sinister laugh here) Establishment than to accept the fact that their candidate committed a massive faux pas.

At best, these same people think that dead aliens are being hidden at Area 51, think that Elvis Presley is still alive and remain convinced that a black helicopter was following them last week, tracking their movements.

I hope Akin wins, but I think he Macaca’ed himself out of the Senate! Remember what happened to George Allen in Virginia.

If you screw up in front of the media and you let them turn you into a “serial explainer” you're done! He didn't let the media turn him into a “serial explainer” he volunteered!
Each explanation was lamer then the previous one!

Seems the Establishment GOP wants to make sure the pro-life issue does not surface. We need to be all RINOs now even choicers. This race has to all about money not social issues.

Santorum said some really dumb stuff; he was still supported by most talkers. If the man doesn’t get out, get behind him so we can beat the woman. Beat her with anyone. You would think that the Gop-e and the talkers would had thought this through. The talkers and TV pundits have blown this way out of proportion. The damage has been done by them more so. You would think Aiken was for gay marriage or child porn. Romney Ryan and the others running for seats want to distance themselves for political purposes. George Allen, of all people should understand about opening mouth inserting foot. They are afraid because they want a job/job security and the promise of repealing Obamacare will be difficult with political correct politicians. Not a bright outlook if we divide the votes and go third party in Mo.

If the herd wants Akin out, it’s probably OK if he stays in. If the GOP sabotage his campaign, we can thank THEM for the loss.

He will win in spite of the cowards in the Party to stand up to the pro abortion industry. He mangled a phrase but if you do research he was speaking the truth.

Course half of the leadership are Pro abortion themselves.

Pray for America

Akin is radioactive. The commie press will repeat his insane remark 24 hours a day every day until he’s gone, using it to try and tar every other Republican in 2012 and to avoid having to report on the economy and Obama’s record in general. This is what the commie media have been waiting for: a way to define Republicans as extremist nut jobs, and Akin is their perfect storm. I don’t care who he is or what he stands for, Akin has simply got to go. Period.

The majority of the demands for Akin’s head, however, came from the “establishment” wing of the Republican Party. You know; the Rove, Blunt, Danforth types.

Akin has agreed that his words were clumsy and incorrect. However, since he's a conservative, his critics insist that his mistake must have resulted from a deep-seated hatred of women.

Karl Rove, who for all intents and purposes is a liberal woman, just can't get over it. But, Akin is a fighter and he isn't going to quit.

When people get behind him (and they will), Akin will win this race.

Most of our Conservative Leaders and Spokesmen have painted themselves into that corner and out of it will come Senator McCaskill for 6 more years. Why are Republicans AND CONSERVATIVES so damned selfrighteously stupid?
