"If a womans ovaries have already released an egg, shes just as likely to get pregnant from a rape as she would be from a voluntary encounter, Dr. Barbara Levy, vice president for health policy at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, told NBC News. There's a problem with that. The problem is that these professional organizations are extremely susceptible to pressure from the Left. Witness the changes to the description of homosexuality in the DSM after radical "gay" activists threatened the APA.
Another professional organization, under pressure from the radical gay lobby, also came damn near publishing some pro-pedophilia "scholarship" ... until Dr. Laura raised hell over it.
There is no magic protection against pregnancy from rape, period.
Stop using the word "magic." Nobody is using that word but Leftists and their dupes on the right.

Please stop making everything a conspiracy. The medical data on this is unimpeachable at this point, not sure why some are having so much trouble accepting that Akin is an idiot, instead they'll rail out against medical fact to make their case, that lowers us to the level of bizarre conspiracy theorists sitting for hours watching the 9/11 attacks, trying to point out just how the government was responsible for it all.

What would you prefer to call it? As someone whose background is in biology, I thought Akin said one of the stupidest things I've ever heard any politician say. This is the sort of thing that we absolutely should ridicule because this is the kind of thing that moderates look at and go "well, I hate that guy over there, he's taxing the hell out of me, he's corrupt and he's a liar but then again, those guys are crazy."
We have people on the conservative side that can address these scientific/medical issues as fluently as Paul Ryan can address the fiscal situation, yet for some reason, it's always the dumba###s with no background in the topic who seem to speak the loudest, and when they do, you can be sure the left will be there unleashing a tremendous feeding frenzy as we are seeing now.
The worst part is, as a Republican candidate, Akin should have known that question was coming and should have been well-prepared for it, unless of course that craziness was his prepared response, in which case there's no helping the man.
