With so many here eager to join the GOP in shooting down one of our own for a single verbal misstep, I thought it might be a good idea for our FRiends to learn a thing or two about Todd Akin's track record representing people like us in the House. These are just highlights. There's much more at the site linked which I regularly use to discern the calibre of our leaders. With just about every Republican talking head looking the other way regarding the atrocities in Romney's past, I am absolutely disgusted with their treatment of Todd Akin. Stay in it for the long haul, Mr. Akin. You are sorely needed in the Senate to help deter the socialistic leanings of both parties these days.

Yet the same people are supporting this clown.

Scott Brown presses Republicans to be ‘more inclusive’ on abortion

Brown blasts back: I am a pro-choice Republican

(And they don't appear to like anyone mentioning it either. LOL)

They don’t care. As long as Sean Vannity, Hush Bimbo, HomoCon Coulter, and the GOP elite tell them to be outraged, they are outraged. It’s all about Party Politics.

You forgot he last one:

Threatened the future of this Country because of his selfish need for redemption and self glorification.

And don't forget that Romney just came out in favor of homosexual scoutmasters.

I was sympathetic to Aikin until I read this article.

He’s the only guy that McCaskel can beat.

Add to the list: Invented a new English language term: “legitimate rape”.

You know, I’m fine with the guy now. I know what he was trying to say, the word choice of “legimate rape” certainly is unfortunate, but its actual meaning is obvious. Certainly “forcible rape” would have been preferrable.

With regard to the female body having ways of shutting that whole thing down... stupid thing to say, but apparently there is some merit to it in some quarters, but it isn’t reliable scientific fact, so there’s no point in discussing it as if it was IMO.

I understand that he is a 100% pro lifer. I do disagree with that position, because I believe the rape, incest, life of mother exception should be aloowed and not condemned.

That decision is for those people on that unfortunate path to make, and no one else.

But I respect his right to believe as he does. I’d vote for him, he has a respectable conservative record. I wouldn’t throw him under the bus for his unfortunate choice of words. Now is the time to rally around America and elect conservatives, not eat our own as we always do. That characteristic is of failure.

You forgot to include "The only Republican to be heavily financially supported by his general election Democrat opponent." That's almost $2 million that McCaskill committed to seeing this guy become the Republican candidate, so you ask yourself why?

The man could vote the right way, have the best conservative philosophy of all, all of that is irrelevant if he makes himself and his party by extension, a national embarrassment.

There's more that goes along with being a politician, you have to carry yourself properly and know how to respond to questioning without sounding like a loon, Akin doesn't have it and he simply should have stuck with his safe Congressional District, not everyone was meant to move up in politics, he's clearly not ready for prime-time.

Where Akin is on the issues is completely irrelevant. His continue presence in the race damages Republicans’ chances of re-capturing the Senate and are already allowing the democrats to avoid talking about Obama’s miserable record.

This selfish bastard is dominating the media now and allowing the democrats to focus the media’s attention away from the issues that will help Republicans win. The bottom line is that any one of the other available candidate are a guaranteed win for the Republicans. Akin is not. That is all that matters and he should be able to recognize that and do what is right for his party.

Both the parties are ganging up on him for the miscue. This is a negative bump. We've seen dozens of bumps just in the last year, bumps up and down, for all the major candidates. Assuming Akin stays in the race, and I hope he does, the Pro-Akin and Anti-McCaskill people of Missouri will align once more to gain the Senate seat. I have no doubt. If the GOP is willing to beg us to support a man of Romney's low conservative value, it should have no problem pulling for Akin. It is insulting to the conservative base not to do so.

Steelman is just as conservative, with the added benefit of not being stupid. Akin is unelectable and his political career is over. He just doesn’t know it yet.

That wasn't on the list. Most likely because it was not spoken, reviewed, verified, or accurate. Ping me when it is.

1) We just came off the Chick-fil-A triumph
2) Dems says stupid things all the time
3) Let’s stop running from the Media, and what people say/think

We can win this, and cut the heart out of Media attacks on Conservatives.
