That Obama leads in what used to be a strong red state is ever more evidence how the demographics of the national electorate are changing. The same goes for formerly solid red states like VA and FL. These have all become “swing” sates. Before long, the Rats will be the permanent national ruling class and won’t be different from CA where every statewide officer holder is a Rat and every single Rat in both chambers of the legislature were re-elected. And in 1980 CA went for Reagan in a landslide. Yes, demographics is destiny.

And in 1980 CA went for Reagan in a landslide. Yes, demographics is destiny.

In 2008 CA went for BO by about 61.1% vs. 37% for GOP's McCain.

All you CA readers here:

Check out the list of big blue counties that went for BO in 2008 (pp. 17-19).

http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/sov/2008_general/sov_complete.pdf

Compare the number of BO bumper stickers and yard signs you see today in cities in said counties with what you saw at this time of year in 2008.

What do you see?

Alameda County went 78.8% for BO in 2008. Today in the SF East Bay I can see barely any BO bumper stickers at all.

When these polls are examined it turns out that The Disaster does not have a lead at all.

Only by oversampling Democrats by as much as 11% in one recent case can any kind of lead be ecked out.

Florida will vote for Romney by a big margin as will Virginia.

There are changes in demographics in some states but it iis not all in the democrats direction. it seems like states like Nevada and Colorado are more democrat as Californians flee their broken state. Unfortunately, those voters don’t realize their liberal voting is what ruined California, and they keep, voting for more government and worse business climate. The same is true in New Hampshire where Massachusetts transplants go.

Virginia is changing as DC expands and government workers are outweighing the conservative bent in the rest of the state.

Florida is more republican than ever. We have one Democrat elected statewide....and he will likely Be gone when Mack beats him in November. The rest of the south is more republican than ever, too. States like Louisiana, arkansas and north carolina are moving rightward. In all those states the state democratic parties are moving left and abandoning their traditional more southern conservative roots, and losing statehouses they have held for generations.

Polling is showing Romney and GOP senate candidates are contending in states we haven’t for almost 2 decades. Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and other Midwestern states are coming back our way. The electoral map shifts a lot over time, and rarely all in one direction.
