AP Exclusive: Energy loan watchdog an Obama donor

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A veteran Wall Street executive who performed an independent review that exonerated the Obama administration's program of loans to energy companies contributed $52,500 to re-elect President Barack Obama in the months since completing his work, according to an Associated Press review of campaign records.

The executive defended the integrity of his conclusions and said he decided to donate to Obama after his work was finished.

Thanks to the Obama administration the US is likely rising in the world corruption index.

Might we have a legitimate press this election?

I've been noticing that happening more often lately (except with NBC). The latest hit pieces on Obama were from CBS, ABC, CNN, Newsweek

But not NBC

The press wants to get in good with the most likely winner. They are reading the tea leaves. If they are being fair and digging into Obama, Romney has a big chance to win.

NBC (GE) paid zero in U.S. taxes, despite a billion+ income.

$500,000 stimulus money went to advertising on MSNBC. They are completely and totally in the tank.

Despite the screams from libs about Fox bias, there ARE libs on all the shows and their point of view is shared. MSNBC is a total vacuum devoid of any counter voices. I can somewhat take ABC which tries to present both sides.

MSNBC raises Fairness Doctrine issues. It’s completely a political channel with talking points coming from the DNC.

NBC has basically become the democrat version of our Rush Limbaugh / Hannity with a few exceptions:

1) They have no talent

2) Truth and facts are not on their side

3) They have no audience

4) They hide behind a "mask of non-partisanship".

* At least Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and the other conservative talkers make it clear where they're coming from.

After seeing all of the failed alternative energy projects that received federal loans, and who had ties to obama, how come none of them are in front of a judge for racketeering or money laundering charges? If obama and his minions keep this up, we’ll have to stop going after the mafia under the equal protection clause.

There have been several articles in the liberal press in the past couple of months which had negative things to say about Obama’s record.

I wonder if the liberal journalists have been stung a bit by the criticism of their coverage in 2008? Or perhaps there is a movement behind the scenes to pull the rug out from under Obama and replace him with someone else (Hillary?) at the convention?

I think the delegates to the convention are in most cases required to vote according to the primary results in their respective states, at least on the first ballot at the convention. However, I wonder if there is some provision in Democratic Party rules which allows delegates to be released from that first ballot commitment in extraordinary cases such as the candidate being found to be mentally or physically incapable, or ineligible. If there is a move afoot to put someone else on the ballot, look for some really scandalous story about Obama to break prior to the convention.
