I live in a small, gun saturated swath of east Tennessee and, before that Horrible Boating Accident, contributed substantialy to that saturation. Strange thing. In the 25 years I’ve been here, we haven’t had a single shooting in this gun saturated neighborhood. Someting’s wrong. We should be a bullet pocked and scarred wasteland by now, especially because there are far more guns per capita than in any Chicago inner city neighborhood.
I love your post and agree completely, from the rural woods of northern Michigan I can attest to similar situation.
