Several Arab newspapers also referenced the crucifixions as a fact, he said, and noted that a number of websites had reported on the situation, including one that posted an image of a man who had been targeted, but apparently survived with a gaping wound in his side.

The article you just linked to itself denies that crucifixion took place as the only eyewitness they found, Ramda Fuad, said that a man had been tied to a tree and beaten - a bad case of mob violence, but still not crucifixion. And those photos, again, prove nothing - the injuries could have come from the “tied to tree” incident, or any other manner of abuses by an angry mob. As for the other local news sites, well, from a quick use of the translator on Google Chrome, they appear to all be quoting the original Sky News story, and have no other sources. We all know how easily rumors can spread like wildfire, especially among internet websites and social media. I’d still hold off on this until we can receive more in the way of confirmation. It isn’t as if we’re lacking better documented cases of violence in Egypt.
