You are misconstruing what you see as an ‘oversample’. If more folks who were polled said they were Republican than Democrat, then that’s what happened.
And if the pollsters call a dem-rich target area, they will get the results they want, which is what they do.
No, no we can't play that game.
Every time a poll is released with Obama winning we go into denial mode here and chalk it up to an over sampling of Democrats, and there's no reason to worry. If we do that, for those polls than we can't turn around and go...oh yeah these polls are accurate because even though they over sampled Republicans...that doesn't matter because all that means is there is more Republicans so it must be accurate.
If we're not going to believe the polls that have Obama ahead because of oversampling of Democrats we can't turn around and believe the polls that have Republicans ahead because of an oversampling of Republicans.
Doesn't work that way.
Yeah, and I think Missouri just MIGHT lean Republican in its total voter count. Conventional wisdom has become conventional idiocy when it comes to analyzing polls here. Having exactly 50% Democrats and 50% Republicans in a poll is NOT the definition of an accurate poll.
