Nineteen people were shot in attacks across the South and West sides between about 5:20 p.m. Thursday and 1:30 a.m. Friday - including 13 people during a single 30-minute period - according to the Chicago Police Department.
The shootings peaked between about 9:15 and 9:45 p.m. Thursday when 13 people were shot, including eight in a single incident at 79th Street and Essex Avenue about 9:30 p.m.
Police are still trying to sort out that shooting, the second of three incidents that left multiple people wounded since 8 p.m.

How’s that gun control thing working out in Chicago?
More people have died in Chicago this year than in Afghanistan. This hellhole is completely run by Democrats, best buds of BO. And half the people in this country still think this bunch of incompetents can run the entire country in spite of the past four years of utter failure. Amazing.

It would seem that gun control is working out quite well.
It seems to be working out great for the criminals. Not so great for everybody else though.

Nope - not possible. Chicago has strict gun control, and as every liberal knows those criminals who would kill or rob someone without a qualm will nevertheless obey gun control laws. And also as every liberal knows having a gun to defend yourself is a lot more dangerous than being an unarmed victim. SO I repeat - not possible in Chicago.
The police will protct you, and in Chicago they're doing a bang up job. I wonder how many armed police are on the mayor's personal protection detail.
