and start supporting the guy and turn the focus onto his excellent record as a conservative

That is extraordinarily absurd - brand the conservative movement with someone who makes outrageous comments like that?

Perhaps if all you pussies would stop dancing the dance of the Leftist Democrat play book to divide us all

What "Leftist Democrat play book"? Akin said what he said - he adhered to their playbook - his comments provided them with fodder to push their most outrageous stereotypes of conservatives and now gives them a video clip of hard evidence to perpetuate that line of argument. Unless you have evidence he was hypnotized then he is not a victim of the left - conservatives are the victims for what he has done. Stop acting like he is some sort of victim...that's a false narrative.

by your logic then whites should not comment on black crime and illegitimacy

or heterosexuals about homosexual marriage

or Jews about Christian creches on courthouse squares at Christmas

or Christians about Jewish public schools in Kiryat Joel NY getting tax support

or whites about Latino illegal aliens

and so forth

only that group about which the speaking is done should do the talking

fine... as a white southern Christian American male I want to hear from only their voice about my issues

lol...that would pretty much fix America by my thinking

Yeah, I did see the Rasmussen poll and it’s disturbing. The Tea Party and conservatives have begun to rally around Akin. If this continues, and a poll like that doesn’t change people’s minds to replace him, then a possible solution like a write-in campaign won’t work.

I think Missouri will move back into the republican column, but Akin is making that unneccesarily difficult.

Maybe seeing that poll will convince him to go on his own. I hope to God he’s not been paid off by somebody to do this thing!

Akin allegedly is an engineer. This is from the NSPE Code of Ethics:

I. Fundamental Canons

Engineers, in the fulfillment of their professional duties, shall:

  1. Hold paramount the safety, health, and welfare of the public.
  2. Perform services only in areas of their competence.
  3. Issue public statements only in an objective and truthful manner.
  4. Act for each employer or client as faithful agents or trustees.
  5. Avoid deceptive acts.
  6. Conduct themselves honorably, responsibly, ethically, and lawfully so as to enhance the honor, reputation, and usefulness of the profession.

Akin should have known better than to start running his mouth about something that is clearly outside of his field of expertise.

I didnt say he is a victim of the left, YOU are a victim of the left. You dance their tune, insteaad of ignoring the drama and focusing on what is real.

How do you think that egregious leftists like ted kennedy and barney frank continued in office. They didnt get caught up in conservative caterwauling and they did not let the conservatives divide them.

Instead you roll over instead of focusing on keeping a pretty good guy in office. Ignore the current polling. The only reason the MSM continues with this is that you keep up the drama. Look at the phony Dem indian from Mass, it died down. This will die down too if you stop feeding it.

You arae not branding him, and this theory is not as unusual as you think it is. This theory has been around for a long time and repeated on conservative radio from time to time.

Certainly it is not as egregious as being a homosexual who has a boyfriend run a prostitiution network from one’s home. Or being a sexual predator and alcholic?

Akin would have finished third behind Brunner or Steelman without $1.5 million in Democrat ads. Akin is the candidate the Left CHOSE. To see conservatives from Loesch to the Huckster defending this doofus now would be hilarious, were it not so tragic. Harry Reid is a very happy man.

For goodness sake, MAN UP!

You're failing to understand the makeup of the electorate. They're not going to forgive Akin's remark, especially when reminded by the MSM.

But, since he's on his mission from God, who are we to argue, right?

You know damn well he didn't mean rape is legitimate. You're playing out of the RINO/Leftist handbook.

It doesn't matter what he meant. What matters is what he said. Like it or not, Republicans are held to higher standards than Democrats. We can whine about the unfairness of that all we want, but it is the truth.

If a Republican can't meet those standards because of a verbal gaffe, that's his own fault.

I think the false narrative is that his comments were so outrageous.

I understand the make up of the electorate very well, and the MSM even better. This story will go away because the electorate doesnt really care and the MSM will play it as long as it is a wedge...and you are holding the wedge in place. As long as it is effective it will be in play.

As I said, MAN UP and change the subject.

Ignore the drama? That’s not a possibility - Akin created it. It was created within - it was not a product of the left - not a trumped up false story. He said what he said.

I doubt it. Akin was "pleased" to be "only" 10 points behind yesterday. This Ras poll today will have him doing cartwheels of joy for only having soured the voters to the tune of a single point. In November, he'll consider his second-place finish an astounding success. When he collects his silver medal, hopefully there aren't 30 other pieces of silver in the mix.

The Left’s argument that abortions are a woman’s “right” because, Dear Lord! What kind a an animal would refuse an abortion to a woman who’s been raped!; Is a straw man argument, and should be honestly, treated as such.

Please, rethink your condemnation of this man who generally supports the unborn child’s right to life.

Exactly. As it stands now, you could put any warm body in the position of GOP Senate candidate, and as long as that person can convince the people of Missouri that they won’t say (or do) anything that stupid, then that person will end up with more votes than Claire McCaskill in November. Unfortunately, Todd Akin has lost all ability to convince voters of that.

Is this it? LoL. Obama is up “by one” and these clowns are already to concede Missouri to Obama and McCaskill.

Heck I hope Obama goes to Missouri and sinks lots of money in the state to “win” it. LoL. Yes OBOts, divert Obama campaign funds to Missouri. OBot money they can’t use in other states.

Missouri will be a big sinkhole for OBot funds.

You are talking about issues. Abortion is an issue as is whether there should or should not be a rape exception. All valid issues to be raised during a campaign. The man is a politician. Academic discourse downplaying the effects of rape as it relates to pregnancy to bolster an argument all wrapped with a precious soundbite of “legitimate rape” no matter how many times he tries to explain it is not a campaign issue. It is a political death wish.
