Akin said what he said - he adhered to their playbook - his comments provided them with fodder to push their most outrageous stereotypes of conservatives and now gives them a video clip of hard evidence to perpetuate that line of argument. Unless you have evidence he was hypnotized then he is not a victim of the left - conservatives are the victims for what he has done.
