Do you really think that if Akin gets out, the Romney/Ryan numbers will go up?

Is this a joke? The answer is a categorical yes, nationwide, more in some places than others but uniformly "yes."

This has reached a point that has now surpassed the Senate seat, which at this point is starting to look irretrievable. The GOP should get behind a decent, solid, SANE, conservative candidate who is willing to mount a write-in campaign. The Republican Party can not allow this nut to be the unopposed standard bearer in this election.

Then you are delusional. If Missouri voters believe that a verbal gaffe by a Rep Senate candidate is sufficient to vote for Obama over Romney, then they are as dumb as a sack full of rocks. MO had a statewide referendum on Obamacare. 71% of the voters don’t want it. So now a verbal gaffe trumps their dislike of Obamacare and host of other Dem policies affecting the economy, jobs, etc. If the GOP can’t make its case on the issues, it deserves to lose.
