Romney can get bonus points if the press tries to call him on this by saying words to the effect of: “Well, Obama was the first birther. Obama himself claimed he was born in Kenya in order to sell his first book. The problem is that people believe what he says. No wonder so many people are confused. That’s what happens to people that believe Obama’s claims. They get confused.”
