In the old revolver days when you went to the range you would simply put your empty brass into your pocket so you wouldn’t have to pick it up when you were finished. What do you do under stress? Revert back to your training, just like you said. They stopped that practice when they found a dead state trooper with his hand in his pocket full of spent brass after a shoot out.

I get the same performance from my Taurus 45 ACP DS, but it’s a little big for most concealed carry situations. Has a 13 +1 capacity too. I’m afraid to try the XD, I’m afraid I’ll like it and I have a weakness for 45s.

It would be better to get Bloom-Turd out of office.

“Whenever there’s firing in a crowd, people other than the intended victim are going to get hurt. “

I agree. I guess that’s why sixteen rounds to hit one perp at close range seems excessive.

You sound like you are in the cops can do no wrong crowd.

“I’m sure, if it had not jammed, he would have killed as many people as he could have. He was angry and he was trying to do suicide by cop “

Now you are clairvoyant? From the actual facts it appears he was trying to get away when confronted by the cops.

Calls for disarming the police in 3-2-1

Since you brought it up, do you feel police should be subjected to the same gun laws as legitimate law abiding citizens?

I believe they are.

So citizens in NY have same gun rights as do those in government?

You didn’t specify NY.

BTW slick, I noted ya just signed up here. When ya make comments on this forum, it helps to be accurate and make comments which are supported and based on facts.

Otherwise, others here will eat your lunch on a regular basis.

LOL, another Neanderthal who subscribes to the preposterous and Galactically numb theory which says ones amount of time on a forum is somehow related to their subject knowledge or general intelligence.

My comments as posted were accurate but you are simply too intellectually vapid to be able to discern the nuanced position from which my response was proffered.

But thanks for calling me “junior”. At my age I take it as a compliment.

Now go play with your toy blocks or whatever micro brains like you do for fun.

Adios "tonto"

I believe they are. Police applicants are subject to a thorough backGround check as well as psychological evaluations before they afre even allowed on the force.

LOL -- Thanks beenaround, I needed a laugh... if you think police are held to the same standards as citizens just look int any [state] laws restricting firearms in state buildings, or courthouses.

LOL, another one who seems to have a comprehension problem. The question was directly and singularly pertaining to weapons and not general treatment of police versus civilians.

You and your pal dragnet2 (dum, da dum dum, just the facts ma'am)need to get together and talk things over so as to avoid looking more foolish thasn you already do here.

Hm, "was directly [...] pertaining to weapons", huh? (And is not 'bearing arms' directly pertaining to weapons?) Let's try these or these then.
Because the latter screwed up their website, here's the first 7 NMSA listings WRT weapons:
30-7-1 "Carrying a deadly weapon".
30-7-2 Unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon.
30-7-2.1 Unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon on school premises.
30-7-2.2 Unlawful possession of a handgun by a person; exceptions; penalty.
30-7-2.3 Seizure and forfeiture of a handgun possessed or transported by a person in violation of unlawful possession of a handgun by a person.
30-7-2.4 Unlawful carrying of a firearm on university premises; notice; penalty.
30-7-3 Unlawful carrying of a firearm in licensed liquor establishments.

Both of these states have in their Constitutions wording that is utterly prohibitive of such abridgments, and both are blatant in their exceptions-for-law-enforcement.

SD Constitution, Art 6, § 24. Right to bear arms. The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the state shall not be denied.
and
Art II, Sec. 6. [Right to bear arms.]
No law shall abridge the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms for security and defense, for lawful hunting and recreational use and for other lawful purposes, but nothing herein shall be held to permit the carrying of concealed weapons. No municipality or county shall regulate, in any way, an incident of the right to keep and bear arms

You and your pal dragnet2 (dum, da dum dum, just the facts ma'am)need to get together and talk things over so as to avoid looking more foolish thasn you already do here.

I'm looking foolish? Maybe you forgot to actually look at the laws.

OH please!! Go back and read the original question and stop with the contortions to defend your friend. What are you his mommy?

It was about guns and the question asked was whether I thought cops and civilians were treated equally. I merely stated then and again now that police are subject to stringent back round checks and intensive training before they are permitted to even join the force much less carry a weapon.

There was NO question regarding a specific statute anywhere.

Here's the actual text:

You said "gun laws" not "background checks."
Furthermore, I was the one listing statutes that treat cops and civilians [sic -- most police are civilians as they are not military] because that's what they would call, in court, evidence to support my case that the police and general-citizenry are not treated equally under the law WRT weapons.
