Having a memory like a steel trap, I remember paying close attention to the TV for the moment when he would step off of the LEM and what he would say. When he said “That’s one small step for a man and one giant leap for mankind”, everyone in the room did not catch it because it was partly garbled, until Walter Cronkite repeated it about 15 seconds later.
Didn't Neil also make a Biblical quote, that the liberals & socialists & atheists are still fuming about? Didn't he say something like "In the beginning God created" or maybe it was "The heavens declare His handiwork" or something like this?
