This article is nonsense. The Chinese health system is still very much Gov’t controlled. It has many aspects that we will start to see in the USA.
You won’t see a doctor unless you have connection with them or bribe them. It is absolutely impossible to open a clinic or hospital without Gov’t approval at many levels. Doctors will not see patients who depend solely on Gov’t payments. Device and pharmaceutical makers can only market their products with payments to and heavy regulations from the Gov’t

The problem is that patients in China now feel entitled to ‘free care”. But, doctors can only spend very little time with each patient. And apparently, not all expenses are covered when complications arise and costs mount.

I myself never thought it would happen, but I have actually have had to hire a security guard at my pain management clinic to deal with angry, entitled patients.
