While I agree it is a challenge to get a fair hearing for the pro-life side due to a hopelessly biased media, I still don’t think you’ll ever convince a majority that abortion should be banned in cases of rape even if public discourse was to suddenly become fair.

It may be true that a woman will feel depressed and maybe even regret for aborting a child that came from a rape, but that would have to be balanced against the fact that she’s carrying her rapist’s child. Carrying the child to term and giving it up for adoption is admirable, and maybe the proper moral choice, but pregnancy and child birth carry inherent risks. I wouldn’t try to make a woman take that risk for a child she had no say in the creation of.

It’s a debate that should play out in each state if Roe is ever overtured (or disregarded by the inferior branches of govt).
