Crist, elected governor as a Republican in 2006, left the GOP in 2010 after polls showed him significantly trailing Marco Rubio in the U.S. Senate primary. He turned independent and ultimately lost to Rubio in November.
Crist used the endorsement as an opportunity to take a shot at his former party, including making a reference to Missouri Republican Senate candidate Todd Akins recent comments about rape.

An ex Republican In Name Only Governor who happens to be a closeted homosexual endorses a man who just came out in support of gay marriage and is doing billboard ads in Florida for local insurance companies to make a living. This just goes to show you how awful the last generation of Florida GOP was and how far they have come.

No, idiot. Obama does what is best for himself. And that includes destroying America.
BTW, where are all those jobs he created or saved?

Many RINO’s would back a Dem before a conservative, usually they do this with the GOPe machine and not change parties.
Somehow to this uber-RINO, Romney isn’t liberal enough

Well he's no worse than freepers who can't tell the difference between Romney and Obama.
They both are not voting for Romney

I applaud and share his vision of a future built by a strong and confident middle class in an economy that gives us the opportunity to reap prosperity through hard work and personal responsibility "If you've got a future, you didn't build that."

Crist reminds me of Arlen Specter, who chose a political party like he was picking out something to wear for the day. Whatever was politically convenient. But really had no real foundational political beliefs. What good riddance on both counts.

That endorsement gives Romney a lock on FL.
Pray for America

We were down in FL last week. Charlie’s mug is plastered all over billboards along the FL Turnpike advertising for some law firm. At least it lets you know who not to call if you need a lawyer.

Former Florida governor and ex-Republican Charlie Crist endorsed President Barack Obama on Sunday, calling him the right leader for our times. Actually, who cares what Charlie Crist has to say? He changes his mind about anything at anytime. If you like being jerked around with changes in position, by all means, follow Charlie. Let him think for you.

Talk about the bigger the lie, the more it will be believed syndrome trying to be played out by them; nobody is more damaging to the middle class than the “liberals”, who are very liberal with the working man’s money and assets. With our money, that they give away to the non producers, they buy votes to gain and stay in power, all the while turning the poor into their own personal, demoralized, demanding, angry army of beggars.

Sen. John Cornyn (RINO-TX), as head of the NRSC, endorsed Crist over Marco Rubio. Quoting Cornyn: "While I believe Marco Rubio has a very bright future within the Republican Party, Charlie Crist is the best candidate in 2010 to ensure that we maintain the checks and balances that Floridians deserve in the United States Senate. Governor Crist is a dedicated public servant and a dynamic leader, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee will provide our full support to ensure that he is elected the next United States Senator from Florida.
(source) Cornyn needs to be replaced!
