Bush had to say it at the time. He knew he was slinging bull-s#$@, but he was also keeping the US’ engagements limited to the most egregious factions of Islamofascists active at a given moment. Sort of like setting off a large mass of dynamite, one stick at a time in a remote area, rather than all at once in the middle of a crowded shopping mall. As for “doing the jobs that Americans won’t do,” out upon it.
