PERRY HALL, Md. (AP) A 15-year-old student opened fire on the first day of classes Monday at a Baltimore County high school, getting off two shots and wounding a classmate before being rushed by teachers, authorities said.
Investigators do not believe the victim, a 17-year-old male, was targeted by the shooter, a 15-year-old who is also a student at Perry Hall High School, Baltimore County Police Chief James Johnson said. The 15-year-old boy was taken into custody after the shooting and was cooperating with investigators, police said. Police took the weapon, although they did not say what kind of gun it was.

Teachers have been taking note about law enforcement “active shooter” training....heroes!
At this site they’ve got more up to date news than any media outlet. It’s run by locals: http://www.facebook.com/bcobn
If you read the comments you’ll see they’re saying the shooter brought a shotgun to school and that he’d been bullied in the past. Also, the victim has Downs Syndrome. A Downs Syndrome child certainly wasn’t bullying anyone! Poor thing was just in the path of the psycho’s gun. Just when I think I’ve heard it all.
Daniel was an innocent victim at the wrong place at the wrong time. I know the family. Thankfully the quick action of a guidance counselor and teacher prevented more injuries or deaths.
I just can’t stand the way everyone uses bullying as an excuse. There are no excuses for this. The shooter had vile facebook posts and no friends. Schools are spending millions on “help” and social work. If he wanted help, he could have gotten it. Some people (kids included) are just bad seeds.
Daniel is a sweet boy. Praying for him and him family.

Can you confirm any of these rumors going around the school:
-He was one of about 6-10 Goth types that walk around school with long trench coats.
-He apparently was getting food tossed on him just prior to shooting.
-He was aiming for a black kid (seen being led away in local media leading many to think he was the shooter) but accidentally shot your friends child instead.
Lots of rumors going around. First the Cannibal 7 miles away in Joppatowne, now this.
Pics not showing up. Were they removed or should I try reposting?
In my day, some coach would have put him up against a locker until he went to the office and was told to get out and stay out. It worked, because I know I was safe in school.
I believe AP and Daily Mail photos are verboten. Getty too, I think.
They were screenshots from the creeps facebook page. He was into marylin manson, Ramstein, and charles manson (spelling).
His pic looks like a cross between Joey Ramone and M manson.

Hearing talk now that kid was being bullied pretty bad for 2 years and had food thrown at him by his bully. He said “i’m going to kill you” and went out and got a shotgun he brought from home.
Rumor now is that the shooter had not fired but that the gun went off when tackled by the teacher, hitting the child with down syndrome.
Seems like the family of the shooter has been going thru some tough times. Divorce, custody battle, dad has gun taken away by authorities, dad owes back child support-racks up all kinds of tickets and charged with marijuana possession.
Look for some big news to come out about the dad and the kids family life soon.
Blah, I listen to Manson and Ramstein too.
At some point someone should’ve pointed out that “if you don’t want to get picked on, don’t make yourself look like a freak”.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Look at the bottom of the first imgage.
“Inspirational people: Eric Harris and Dylan”
That should have been a red flag.
