I chose not to continue reading this hypothetical speech because the line I quoted stated the opposite in the rest of it. It is disingenuous and lacks credibility.
It is an attempt at pandering to the left in hopes they will continue listening to our ideas which they want no part of.
We are NOT in a fight for our "values", we are in a knock-down drag out street fight with an enemy that will do ANYTHING to remain in power to accomplish their goal of creating the Communist Utopia they have long sought.
Being nice to these anti-American Marxists will not do anything to save this country.
We must deliver a humiliating defeat to them.

Ill believe that the GOP gets it when they have the likes of Ann Barnhardt speaking at the convention.
I'll believe that the GOP gets it when they nominate somebody other than a RINO like Bush, McCain, and now Romney. And until that day happens, the Ann Barnhardts of the world will be ignored by them.

“We must deliver a humiliating defeat to them.”
No disagreement there. Sadly though I don’t think a win is possible without attracting the soft, squishy, middle of the road voters. I think the speech tipped the hat to them.
