Beth Fuoy a deep thinker...NOT. She doesn’t think the absent Barack Obama Sr. had any influence on little Barry Soetero? When I watched the film I got the immediate impression that Barry’s mamma used to pump his head full of glorious bed time stories about the wonderful Barack Sr. I also got the feeling that when Barry lived in Indonesia his new adopted father didn’t really have any time for Barry and in fact the disagreements they had lead to his deportation back to Hawaii to live with the grandparents.
"But its difficult to see how Obamas political leanings could have been so directly shaped by his father, as D'Souza claims. The elder Obama left his wife and young son, the future president, when Obama was 2 and visited his son only once, when Obama was 10."
Misleading by saying that Mr. D'souza said that Obama was directly shaped by his father. Directly as in person-to-person? I cannot imagine Mr. D'Souza said person-to-person.
The newspaper's dabbler is clueless. Obama is a biological and ideological product of ultra leftists and his absent father certainly leaned Marxist. His mentor was a wallah in the CP/USA. As a youth Obama could have viewed his Marxist leaning father as a heroic and powerful man in far off Kenya. Obama's political leanings certainly were influenced by an ideology embraced by both his mother and his father and he certainly admired his father and his mentor.
The dabbler speculates to refute: "D'Souza seems to suggest . . . ."
The dabbler presents her "well-researched" and most powerful proof against D'Souza's facts: "Many of them dont hold water."
The Afghan war goes on and our military continues to kill the enemy the only way a president can stop it is by ordering the military to stand down -- the Obama Administration meanwhile is willing to work with the Taliban and pack up and leave on a scheduled date. I believe those are facts.
Diplomatically vis-a-vis the Falkland Islands. Where's proof that Obama backed 100% the U.S. refusal in April to endorse a final declaration on Argentinas claim to the islands? Sometimes even a president must do what he personally opposes.
D'Souza knows about the trade and economic sanctions against Iran so was the "Obama has done nothing" about Iran really what D'Souza charged? Even the newspaper employee typed in "Obama opposes a near-term military strike on Iran, either by the U.S. or Israel, although he says the U.S. will never tolerate a nuclear-armed Iran." Seems Obama is a bit bifurcated. So how can D'Souza be totally wrong?
The dabbler never mentioned the British Embassy clarification about the Prime Minister Winston Churchill bust.
The article is a bust that is certainly welcomed in the Oval Office.
Perhaps because the debt under Bush was dwarfed by Obama's?
Perhaps because for 7 1/2 years of Bush's tenure we had great prosperity despite 2 wars and meanwhile Obama heads an economy with unemployment consistently over 8%?
IDIOT journalists.
Obama is Kenyan muddy on his whole sorry life.
Then it's Fair and Balanced.
For the PRO-O films are also muddy.
Just how much of a role "anti-colonialism" played in the lives of father and son is a matter of interpretation, but calling an attack piece "fact checking" implies that the "fact checkers" are doing something more than pitting their opinions and interpretations against other opinions and interpretations.
"Fact checking" allows propagandists to get on their high horse and turn differences of opinion into ethical violations.
That said, I think D'Souza is on the wrong track, and if he really claims without evidence that Obama was preoccupied with the problems of native Hawaiians in his younger days or "coached" in "oppression studies" at Punahou, it does work against his thesis.
There are a lot of "of course" assumptions that people don't question. It's not hard for a reporter to nail these things down if he does his homework, not doing so cuts into a writer's credibility.
The information in this film is very acurate, except it doesn’t go far enough. It’s been well established that all
of Obama’s influences including his grandparents were of
a socialist nature.
Save for later posting at local town’s forum.
