The health of the mother????

There is no one in the life versus abortion debate who doesn't understand this is a different issue than the life of the mother.

So, when Romney juxtaposes "life" with "health" and uses them both together, he is either totally ignorant -- which he isn't -- or he is allowing a loophole big enough to drive all of planned parenthood through.

Intentionally

They don;t define “Health” if they mean “mental Health” in there, it could be used to justify EVERY single abortion that is done for Birth Control purposes...

The health of the mother?

Mitt to Conservative Voters: "yeah, if the woman's life is in anger that's health."

Mitt to liberals: "if it can affect the woman's health (stress, increased common colds) abortion is legal for her."

Obviously he's taking Olympia Snowe's advice...

OK, all right, calm down!

There is a gradation in health from something really mild, to something almost certainly deadly.

So, the statement is a bit ambiguous. Still, from the medical point of view, sometimes one must make a choice.

I would urge that we move off such debatable cases to clear ones, so that the enemy can be taken on under its true colors. The abortionists in Congress (almost to the last one) favor partial birth abortion. It is THIS, not dubious cases, which really shows that they (essentially) have the devil behind them.

It is sometimes very difficult to argue the abortion issue with someone who has been brainwashed by the media and by modern education. My way is to keep the thing very simple, and don’t demand that someone change all at once in the midst of an argument, which for most people becomes a personal contest.

Instead, I prefer to give people a thought which is bound to point them in the right direction. Recently, I like to tell people that different societies have different rules, and sometimes it is difficult to tell. (This is what they hear in school, anyway.) But, I continue, there is a little HINT for recognizing evil movements: if a movement advocates the mass killing of unarmed, innocent civilians, it is a subtle hint that it is evil. Bolshevism and Naziism are examples, as is Maoism (executing every farmer with more than one hectare of land). Look at the number of aborted unborn babies: it is killing on the same scale.

In the case of killer dictatorships, it would have been important to see what is coming, before you found yourself being loaded onto a boxcar for some destination to the east. It would also be important for you not to find yourself supporting such movements.

Abortion is different, or course: because the babies cannot escape or fight back. But an adult can certainly make sure not to be on the wrong side of this life-and-death issue, which is as important for you as not being a guard in a death camp.

But it’s just a hint. Think about it. (And I end the conversation without further disputation.) People must make up their own minds.

As a ardent pro-lifer, I’ve always left open the option of aborting a baby to save the life of the mother if that was her choice. I tend to think that most, if not all women in that situation would choose the life of the child over their own.

Another scenario would be where the husband would be forced to decide the fate of his incapacitated wife over the life of her unborn child. You’re forcing someone to choose to let their wife or baby die, not something I would ever want to face but not at all unreasonable or evil for someone to choose their wife.

Can someone please tell Mitt to SHUT UP on this abortion issue! Drop it! Stop talking about it! Wait for the debates and answers it simply then?

There Are far more important issues to talk about, any reporter or liberal who brings up abortion should be told they have been told too many times, and that other issues of a currently relevant nature need attention
