“Can somebody explain to me why the active duty military is training civilian police from around the nation to work WITH them in combined operations?”
Because in numerous places overseas, our police work with our military to help train their foreign counterparts.
During a tour in Bosnia, I met several cops who were there to train the locals. Many times they would be embedded with the local police, who we also had to work with at times.
This sort of training is nothing new.
The American police are not training our military in this situation for foreign ops.
The American military is training dozens of local PDs to INTEGRATE WITH THEM on “Special Reaction Teams” on ops IN AMERICA.
