These attacks on Conservatives were FROM Willard Romney
himself.

His lawyer obeys his commands.
(”Rid me of these damn conservatives NOW”)

the gop-e has created a perfect storm..

with most conservatives so fixated on getting rid of the socialist in the white house, that they fail to see the socialist plant right in their midst..

I have said that the goal of both candidates, democrat socialist and republican’t socialist is the same... the destruction of the conservative / constitutionalist movement..

expect more of the same if mcromney is elected...

Exactly this. "Anybody but Obama" is the mantra of the clueless who are still taken in by the shell game. In fact, I've heard rumours that the whole reason for an Obama one-term existence was specifically to condition conservatives to accept a Romney nomination and subsequent presidency - i.e. this has been the plan all along, and Obama is just a means to that end.

It's funny - I've asked these people who are convinced that Romney is significantly better than Obama on here a number of times: "What exactly do you think Romney would do differently from Obama, liberty-wise? Will Romney rein in the TSA overreaches? Will he halt the move by our own government towards regarding patriotic constitutionalists as 'domestic terrorists'? Will he put the brakes on the massive militarisation of all kinds of agencies (i.e. why does the NOAA have a SWAT team)? Will he roll back the unconstitutionalities in the PATRIOT Act? Will he roll back the unconstitutional gun laws? Will he work to repeal the misnamed Food Safety Act? Will he oppose the implementation of Agenda 21 in the USA? Will he throw out the ability of the government to arrest American citizens and hold them indefinitely without a trial?

No answer has been forthcoming from any of these "Anybody but Obama" people.

You know why? Because these people know that the answer to all of these questions and many more is "No. Romney will not do a blithering thing about any of these. And what's more, the reason he won't is because he intends to use them, just like Obama has."

Frankly, I don't see the point to whining about shaving a few percentage points off the top marginal tax rate or who cut what from Medicare when we're going to end up more and more unfree until we eventually turn into a police state.

It would be great if people would learn the history of the Republican Party. It was always the liberal or left-wing Party, until Taft took over. TR thought Taft was too conservative so he ran against him on the Bull Moose Party so that Woodrow Wilson would be elected. Calvin Coolidge was a conservative but for only one term. Hoover was a progressive Republican who enacted a lot of policies that FDR expanded on.

Ike was not a conservative, in fact he almost ran as a Democrat. Nixon? He started price controls and the EPA.

Gerald Ford was probably the strongest pro-choice President before Obama. Another “moderate” Rockefeller Republican.

You have Goldwater who was a conservative, Reagan, and who else? Bush and Bush Jr were faux conservatives. Anyone who objectively looks at their tax and spending policies would have to call them RINOs.

Romney is probably the most conservative and smartest nominee since Reagan, especially with Paul Ryan on the ticket.

I agree with you. However, without a smoking gun — romney’s own words — journalists will always say, “advisors”.

Being in CA gives you the freedom to vote your conscience while doing no harm. I'm in AZ and believe I have to vote my fear instead of conscience. Sigh.

If that is so then why does he need Ryan on the ticket???

Who is more conservative than Romney? Please don’t tell me George W. Bush.

McCain Feingold
No Child Left Behind with Teddy Kennedy
Unfunded Prescription Entitlement
Fought for Bank Bailout and GM -Chrysler Bailout.
Started the investment program that allowed Solyndra.

You can laugh, but tell me who was more conservative? Romney will surprise you. GWB surprised me too, not in a good way.

Romney's style is to vigorously attack conservatives and vigorously defend liberal.

Liberal scribbler Matthew Dowd (brother of Her Who Must Not Be Named 'Coz I Don't Have a CZJ Grafix) thinks Romney really needs to create a "Sistah Souljah" moment, where he can slap down some conservatives publicly, denounce his base publicly, loudly and forcefully, so the "last 350,000 undecided women in 10 battleground States" can finally get over his suck factor and vote for him.

Rush had something about this in yesterday's transcript. The liberal/RiNO wing really does not like ordinary conservative GOPsters. I mean really.

If Romney is such a rino why did he have Santorum, Nikki Haley and the likes at his convention? I think we all better stand behind him or our ass is grass. The dems would love to see us squabbling amongst ourselves so people unite or we are doomed.

“If Romney is such a rino why did he have Santorum, Nikki Haley and the likes at his convention? I think we all better stand behind him or our ass is grass.”

He wanted the votes Santorum and those others represent.
If you elect Romney, the Republican Party becomes his and conservatives will have no party in which to be active. They can’t even become a delegate to the national convention because Romney will have the power to pick them himself.

You are a new Romney plant. Romney destroyed the Republican Party yesterday.

Not so much that I recall. Republicans were not so willing to go a 3rd party route or to take over the republican party.

That came about with the tea party.

Through McCain’s time, as with others, I jumped on board because of Sarah Palin and fought to the bitter end, cringing at McCain’s unwillingness to fight and his willingness to be stupid, as with the sky-is-falling financial “crisis”.

It was right afterwards that I left the republicans.

I agree with you Marcella. We saw it happen yesterday and our Hugo Chavez media saw, heard nor spoke of evil.

Trust me, Rush will squirm on this subject to try to patch the party up long enough to get us through this election, but it was a coux— first one I ever saw on live tv.
