PHOENIX — Lilia Romo will tell you plainly: She didn't ask for this fight, but now that the immigration war has been declared in this politically conservative state, the confident 24-year-old says she intends to win it.
Romo was brought to the U.S. from Mexico by people her mother hired 20 years ago. All she recalls about the adventure is that the man who drove her illicitly across the border plied her and her two cousins with candy to keep them quiet.

Someone needs to explain a few things to the little ILLEGAL....
We are a nation based on the rule of LAW. One being you must go thru customs and be allowed here, not sneak in and then bitch about what you think you are OWED. She speaks freely with all the rights of an actual US Citizen paid for in blood by patriots. Something this future Demonrat activist knows nothing about even with all the free things we as taxpayers provided for her including a Public Education.

Won’t happen as long as people here keep exploiting cheap imported mexican labor. Mexico has become a surrogate of the plantations of old. If you can’t work the slaves here, take the work to the slaves. Don’t try to justify it, don’t try to explain it away. If you employ illegal mexicans, you are playing your part in destroying their country. As long as you keep exploiting illegals, the people of the border states have no say in the battle against illegal immigration. Only one of two things will put an end to this, either militarize the southern border, and make it a no man’s land, or annex mexico and start cleaning house. Unfortunately, I don’t see much of either happening due to systemic corruption occuring on both sides of the border.
All I ask any Democrat if the question of illegal immigration comes up is, “What is the purpose of having laws that provide a legal way to work here and/or become a citizen?” Cue stuttering.

Hardly “slavery”. The true exploitee here is the taxpayer. Most of the illegals that I’ve had dealings with we’re paid cash under the table with wives, girl friends and kids on welfare. They were much better off than me.

All illegal aliens should be deported no matter how they ended up in this country. If they are victims of crime (and many fakes crimes against themselves), this should not be a reason to let them stay. Above all, illegal aliens should be kept out of our military.
No, it’s worse. It’s taxpayer subsidized slavery. Their is no shortage of predators from both sides of the political aisle looking to keep the status quo regarding illegal immigration. They created a shadow workforce, and will stop at nothing to protect it. Why do you think every Presidential adminstration after Eisenhower has swept this issue under the rug? Too much money to be made to stop it.
