And to think that back in the summer of 1964, I openly carried a 22 rifle on my shoulder 6 blocks from the hardware store where I bought it to my house. I was 7 yrs old, and this was in Orange, CA. At least I still have the rifle.
I did read the entire post and I agree with what you are getting at. It’s just that those phrases about the wonderment that is the geography of California hack me off. I am sorry. I meant no offense to you.

Police chiefs are politicians, their views reflect the landscape (commiecrats in CA). Not sure about the line officers, some may or may not agree with more controls.
The deaths that occur due to the absence of a defensive weapon rest on their shoulders. Shame on them. Their badges should be ripped from their chicken breasts. Real men don't make it easier for criminals to attack innocent women and children. They bring the fight them whatever that may be.
