Chris Matthews was on Hardball tonight covering the Republican National Convention with guests Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post and John Hielemann of New York Magazine. In what is seemingly the natural progression of things these days with Matthews, the subject of the 'otherization' of the President was being discussed. Because, if you weren't aware already, Barack Obama is black, and any time a Republican chooses to discuss the failure that is his administration, the media will be there to quickly remind you that they only feel that way because of his skin color.
But tonight's episode of race-baiting with Chris Matthews was a bit odd in that the panelists somehow came to the conclusion that reminding people of the President's roots in Chicago politics is racist. In fact, simply saying Chicago is racist. (Video below).
Robinson sets the racial tone by saying (h/t The Right Newz):
"It's all part of this Barack Obama as 'other' sort of blanket campaign that has been waged by the Republican Party for some time now. It may be gaining some traction now, though I wonder why now as opposed to a bit closer to election."
Matthews then demonstrates his mind-numbing ability to take an idiotic statement, amplify it, and subsequently make it exponentially more idiotic coming from his mouth, when he said this:
"Yea, well let me ask you about that gentleman. What about now, is this constant barrage of assaults, saying the guy is basically playing an old game of demagoguery politics, where you take the money from the worker bees and give it to the poor people to buy votes. That's basically what they're charging him with. Old big-style, big-city machine of 50 years ago."
He added, "They keep saying Chicago by the way, have you noticed? They keep saying Chicago. That's another thing that sends that message - this guy's helping the poor people in the bad neighborhoods, screwing us in the 'burbs."
Hielemann helpfully interpreted Matthews statement, presumably for those too challenged to understand basic words (or as we in the business refer to them - Hardball viewers), by making this jaw-dropping statement:

No surprising at all.
Obama cannot run on his record.
Blacks and white guilt elected him last time and it is the only thing that can elect him this time and Chrissy and these other white guilt azzholes know it.
You can see this happening in almost any group, more so with left wing than right, where people in the group become obsessed on one issue.
Everything that happens reaffirms their beliefs.
Look at the global warming nuts, everything is because of global warming.
Look at the anti gun nuts, want a deaf kid to change his name because his hand signature of his name reminds them of a gun.
People that are this obsessed are indeed dangerous.

My favorite was when someone said that calling Obama “skinny” was racist.
Now, Obama is pretty thin and while skinny is maybe not the most flattering word it isn’t racist.
I forget what point the person who called him skinny was making, but that’s the beauty part.
It doesn’t matter what you say, they’ll say it’s racist anyway.

Chris Matthews is “entertainment” at the same level of the old school side show freaks. It’s some crazed, raving syphilitic drooling all over himself once a day for your entertainment pleasure. Sure, it’s macaab, but people who watch him know that they aren’t him, and that makes them feel better about themselves...
More like desperate.
The DIMs are like the “new moozlums”...everything and anything offends them in some way or other...especially THE TRUTH!
‘Golf’ is also now a racist term. I heard that yesterday after MConnell jokes about Obama and the PGA.
MSNBC seriously claimed that it was an attempt to link Obama to Tiger Woods or something. Ignore the fact that 99.99% of the PGA Tour is white. LOL!
“double Chrissy” sounds like a gymnastics move I really don’t want to think about.
Actually, it can be distilled down to any criticism of leftist policy is inherently racist
because leftist policy, in their definition, is inherently anti-racist.
It is a shamefully weak cause that is harmed by the truth.

Matthews is in need of some serious intervention and his wife had better hide all the knives in the kitchen.
There's another explanation for the meaning of Chicago that I am partial to. The story goes that some Indians from outside the area asked some local Indians for a good place to hunt. They were pointed toward where Chicago is. When they got there, the only "game" they found were skunks. So Chicago could also mean, "place of the skunks." Considering the way things have turned out, that has become a kind of parable.
Despicable...time for a national boycott of NBC & GE until these vicious race baiters are unemployed.
So talking about Obama’s excessive golf is racist, talking about Chicago is racist, maybe they can just put out a list of everything that isn’t racist. It’d save time.
