New Poll Confirms Akin Resurgence

Looks as if PPP a Democrat Polling firm has confirmed the FRC poll of just 2 days ago showing Akin surging back on McCaskill.

Looks as if the reports of the (political) death of Akin were a tad premature.

A week is forever in politics. A lot of people may be disgusted with the beltway RINOS treatment of Akin, and their trying to curry favor with the RATS.

Please do not repeat satire as fact, dangus. The inane statement you referred to was from The Daily Currant, "The Global Satirical Newspaper of Record", and you can read the whole intellectually challenged bit here : (Daily Currant). They don't like Christians, conservatives, or Republicans over there, and it shows.

If it's a PPP or a FRC poll, I wouldn't put too much stock in it. They both want Akin to stay in, although for different reasons: PPP, because they want a weak opponent for ObamaClaire; FRC, because they are the true believers.

Now if several other polls start showing an Akin surge to within four points or so, then that would get my attention.

Additionally this is one of the reasons I feel the media is dangerous. Why? Because people are so ignorant. Satire taken as fact and propagated here.

Is it possible that there really was no movement after the flare-up??? that the PPP poll and the FRC poll were correct assessment of the likely voters, and that the Rasmussen was the freak poll???

Heh. It did seem a bit too outlandish to actually be truth.

Thanks for the heads up, so_real.

Why would a red state who voted for McCain last time go into the polling booth and pull a lever for a Democrat this year, when Obama is surely going to be even less popular? Only if Akin had an actual scandal under his belt, not just a politically correct witchhunt by the liberal consultant class.

It sure would have been easy enough to have provided the source from which such 'bizarre' accusation were made. I know that IF Akin had said such a thing, my local media would have given old crazy commie Claire hours of response time... The perverts rule the air waves...

Further, I appreciate you exposing the source. I am not going to pollute my computer by going to their site.

Sorry, but I would have supported Akin for the one gaff, but his comments about ...

Sorry, ERIC CARTMAN and SOUTH PARK are not considered a valid news source.

We should know shortly IF this is a ‘credible’ accusation or if dangus is a LIAR!!!!!

Dangus may not be an intentional liar, but he should quit taking bath salts intravenously.

Well if he wins despite having no support from the RNC he is going to become a very interesting animal. Sort of as if Arlen Specter had won if they had all gone with Toomey.

But, the RNC and most of the people here on FR had thrown him to the dogs.

He’s due for some cash—especially from those of us who won’t send it to Romney.

Since I live in Missouri, I knew darn well had Akin said anything close to what was accused the local media would have given old crazy commie Claire hours of free media to bash Akin. IT has not happened...

Actually, I am reallllllly tired of all the 'national' advise getting dumped out over the Akin foot and mouth episode.

Fact is that Missouri is a swing state. Old crazy commie Clarie has spent the past year + hunting for a moderate costume, because this state is approximately 1/3 liberal voters, 1/3 Republican voters, and those coveted 'independents'. 'You know' the Frank Luntz Independents. Old crazy, commie Claire got the majority of the independent votes in 2006. Which is why the Romney campaign wants no friction in the anticipation of seducing them this election and Akin words require more than a 30 second sound bite to explain. ($$$$$$)

I'm relieved Akin is still in this fight against liberalism and the culture of death, (Oromery care). I highly suspect because he was NOT the free spender of the Bush administration, some have taken notice and do NOT want to deal with him when TARP III comes again.

Not the current poll, whose numbers are:

D: 33%
R: 35%
I: 32%

Looks like PPP is retty close to an accurate sample.

He could win. But then Missouri would still have a Senator backed by $2 million in Democrat money. McCaskill, Akin. Not sure there’s a difference.

I was there with you....I've come around on it and I think most people have McCaskill is just to bad for something like this to put her back in office. I think when the Missouri voters go into the booth there will not be a good reason not to pull the handle for Akin.
