A shocking video shows the moment two Los Angeles Police Department officers apparently grabbed a female motorist and bodyslammed her twice to the ground in a parking lot.
Michelle Jordan, a 34-year-old mother and registered nurse, sustained horrific bruising and cuts in the attack, which took place after she was pulled over for talking on her mobile phone. The brutal arrest was captured by a surveillance camera after the officers followed her car into a Del Taco restaurant parking lot in the Tujunga area on August 11.
Officials told the Los Angeles Times that Jordan had ignored the officers' orders to stay in her car and began arguing with them.
On the video, obtained by NBC4, she is seen getting out of the car before she is knocked to the ground by one of the officers...

Sue the cops, their training officer, the department and the police union.
Good post.
Here he is after being taken down by Officer Lamont. 84yo guy being flipped to the ground. I'm pro-cop too but I have no time to put up with these idiots who terrorize folks who can't even defend themselves.
All the officiers in that division should be fired. I can’t believe they didn’t gun down fido after wiping the street with this woman.
“How do we know that this wasn’t one of those foul mouthed domestic goddesses that incite anger? Look at how she comes out of the car toward the officers and its obvious her mouth is in high gear. And what would cause both officers to high five after throwing her into the car? Was she foul mouthing the officers to the point of anger? Maybe the officers were using restraint. (Flame suit on). I have encountered many of these privileged harpies and wished I could have done the same to them.”
Yes, there are a lot of these knee-jerk responses and worse at the source article. Not to worry, the cops and their friends have you covered there!
Lots of people have more dangerous jobs than cops. Fishermen, loggers, farmers, Structural construction workers, Sanitation workers, Airplane pilots, Roofers, Coal miners, and others all have more dangerous jobs than cops.
All I am saying is get all the info before you make up your mind.
They get their rocks off just as quickly beating a White, Black, or Mexican. The key is victim cannot fight back.
“If a cop cannot handle some arguing people without brutalizing them, then they need to get another job! Where the hell is there stress training?”
Many of the comments at the source article seem to believe the woman got what she deserved, so I’d say it’s a serious problem with the underlying mentality rather than a poor response to stress.
There are lots of good cops out there, but also a scary amount of people like to assume cops can never do any wrong, and will defend anything they do, no matter how horrific it is.
I have encountered many of these privileged harpies and wished I could have done the same to them.

3 things.
1) you have created a scenario out of whole cloth and use that invention to justify the actions of the cops. Pretty transparent.
2) words don’t warrant bodyslams
3) It’s a really, really good thing you aren’t a cop.
Rather like, "I don't have the facts, but I am just full of pre-formed opinions."
I don’t disagree.
Those injuries on a handcuffed woman tell quite a story, though, don’t they?
I agree with you. They should have shot her. The corpse would have been better looking than that picture of ground beef upthread.
This was a simple citation offense. They should have stood back and written the ticket, asked her to sign it (if she wished!) and stick her copy under the wiper blade. They should have told her to discuss any issues with the judge!
That is how pros do their job.
So why edit the video? That’s all I’m sayin...

You seem to be assuming that it was edited for content, my assumption is edited for length.
No argument there.
Oh, you wouldn’t believe the property crime around here — in our working class ‘hood. Nearly every house has either been broken into, vehicles vandalized, boat motors stolen, in broad daylight... I guess we’re considered “the rich” since half of Tucson is on welfare and/or crack.
Tucson’s always at the top of the list in property crime, and stolen vehicles (fairly close to the border). The cops won’t come out, and if/when they actually do, can’t be bothered with taking fingerprints or some of the basics you would think they’d do...
They have cameras to track us (citizens) and give us tickets (again, mostly only in a certain part of town), so not sure what they do all day.
I agree the cops probably went overboard in this case. There was no need to slam her to the ground, but then again I am not sure we know the whole story other than a small video clip. There are black sheep in every profession - like the cop beating up Stallone in ‘First Blood’, but in general if you are courteous to cops and cooperate with them and do as you are asked, in the vast majority of cases they will act professionally with you.
Awww, thanks, you inspired me! :0)
