A shocking video shows the moment two Los Angeles Police Department officers apparently grabbed a female motorist and bodyslammed her twice to the ground in a parking lot.

Michelle Jordan, a 34-year-old mother and registered nurse, sustained horrific bruising and cuts in the attack, which took place after she was pulled over for talking on her mobile phone. The brutal arrest was captured by a surveillance camera after the officers followed her car into a Del Taco restaurant parking lot in the Tujunga area on August 11.

Officials told the Los Angeles Times that Jordan had ignored the officers' orders to stay in her car and began arguing with them.

On the video, obtained by NBC4, she is seen getting out of the car before she is knocked to the ground by one of the officers...

A woman with a cell phone is truly dangerous and unpredictable and should always be body slammed or shot or both.

Not sure what being a registered nurse has to do with it.

It was supposed to indicate her respectability.

How do you know she was doing any of that if you haven’t seen the video? I have,it was a disgrace. Also, the “High Five” at the end calls into question the Officers credibility and MENTALITY!It speaks volumes!

It sort of reflects the character and personality of the victim. Not you typical street hood, not that even a typical street hood shold be treated this way.

And the police chief has “serious concerns” and has assigned these d****e bags to DESK duty???

They should be arrested and thrown into jail.

And I hope she ALSO files a civil suit against them personally and it ruins their lives forever.

There is NOTHING WORSE than a person with public power and public authority who uses their position to abuse citizens.

Like two cops who simultaneously give contradictory orders in a parking lot and shoot the victim for disobeying one of them, it did not matter which one.

One hollers, "GET ON THE GROUND!" One of the other officers hollers, "GET YOUR HANDS ON THE CAR!"

What is one supposed to do?

Innocent or guilty, one should expect to get shot.

If you are a Kennedy and a Congressman, drunk and high on pills 3:00 AM in the morning and drive your car into an anti terrorist concrete barrier on the Capital Building Steps, you get pulled out of your car and a police supervisor recognizes you and tells the arresting officers stand down and the supervisor will take the drunk/high Congressman home with no arrest or charges. See the difference? One percent is too big to fail and too big to jail. People like us are another matter and cops practice this all the time. Cops have become the protector of rich and powerful and revenue agents for local gov. Fines in CA are hefty and more and more financially strapped drivers will react. It is a matter of time a traffic stop will spark a riot in CA.

>>I haven’t seen the video but it doesn’t matter. You can’t hear what she is saying to the cops.<<

How do you know? Why don’t you want to watch the video? It would help you come to an informed opinion, instead of one based on ignorance.

>>LAPD cops have it tough. We had a family friend who worked for LAPD, and another who worked for the Sheriffs office. (This was back in the early 1960s). Both men said that every day they went to work could be their last day alive.<<

Yeah, the handcuffed lad in a sundress was gonna kill those two cops.

Wake up. Quit trying to defend the indefensible.

You can’t hear what she is saying to the cops.

Mere words shall not provoke!

He body slammed her while handcuffed face first into the pavement while on top of her, that should cost him his job as a minimum

HeIt won't cost him his job though he probably won't be rewarded with a paid vacation for it as he would have had he shot her to death. The lesson here is that every traffic stop should end quickly in a shooting of the driver so that the overworked officers can enjoy much deserved paid vacations.

Mere words shall not provoke!

Someone has no business being a cop if words are enough to provoke an attack. Unless, of course, all criminals who are arrested these days are polite and don't say anything inflammatory.

Do one immediately and get shot for not doing the other.

It’s okay. Hollywood movies and the TV prove that women are taller and stronger than any ol’ man. Women are dangerous and they can take it.

Average American height:
Men 5’ 9.6”
Women 5’ 4.3”
Movies: The reverse!

I saw the video

In the sequence 1:20 - 1:26, what I see is the the cop shifting his left foot well to the left, a move I interpreted as his attempt to gain leverage to pull her off balance, and then slam her to the ground.

If he had been trying to stop her fall, or was caught off balance and fell with her, the footwork would have been different. The body-slam cop needs to be fired immediately.

I believe that those are referred to as details. Kind of like her age and motherhood status, which are also mentioned in the story, also having nothing to do with what happened.

HAlf right, watch the video. She got out and got aggressive, and when they tried to cuff her to stop her from getting back to her car, it all went to the ground from her resisting.
Later, when in cuffs, she started struggling again as they were placing her in the cop car and it all went to the ground again, the cop too.

I guess you missed the 2nd takedown, considerably harder than the first, while she was handcuffed. Or maybe you didn’t miss it at all and don’t care what cops to handcuffed women.

“Perhaps an emergency call on her cell phone about a patient in dire need? “

lol,, Surrrrre it was. Big city Hospitals often have cell conversations with off duty nurses about patients in dire need. Please.

LOL. Your commentary, therefore, doesn’t matter either because you are completely uninformed.
